What she receives :
1. Education
Our team will teach women about conception, menstruation, and the joys and blessings of being a woman. They will also learn about proper hygiene during their periods, as well as personal instructions on how to use and wash the pads.
2. A Pad Kit :

Seven locally-sewn colorful washable reusable pads:
The construction and materials of the pads were greatly researched and lovingly put together. When washed properly, the pads are designed to last up to five years
There are three layers :
-Top layer: A light cotton that wicks the liquid to the middle core layer, keeping the woman dry.
-Middle layers: 4 layers of folded cotton flannel for maximum absorbency and suitable for heavy or light days.
-Bottom layer: P.U.L., a special synthetic material used in washable baby diapers. This prevents leaking through the bottom of the pad and safeguards the woman’s clothes.

Two underwear
Underwear is not an essential in Nepal
yet essential for the pads to work. We make four different sizes available and the girls handpick two of these colorful fun undies.

Soap
In Nepal, soap is not always used in washing. The inclusion of soap encourages girls to care for themselves properly during this time.

Cleaning Instruction paper
Each girl will receive pad cleaning instructions paper demonstrated during the session. The paper will be written in Nepali and in picture form for the illiterate. For those with a smart phone, a YouTube link will demonstrate how to clean the pads which is essential for the girls’ health and durability of the pads.
These precious women need hope, love, and encouragement. Our time together will be motivating and uplifting so the women will walk away knowing that they are valued and loved.
